Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
